Experience

3 years in the health & human services field working directly with consumers

Education

2 years of college or specific training & certifications

BS/BA in Social Sciences preferred

Are you the answer to somebody’s needs?  Access Alaska is currently seeking Direct Service Providers in the Fairbanks area.

As a Direct Service Provider, you will assist the elderly and people with disabilities (consumers) in meeting their individual health and personal care needs.   You will be supervised by the consumer and assist them with their daily living activities as directed.  These may include, but are not limited to meal preparation, assistance with bladder and bowel routines, assistance with medication, accompanying consumer to medical appointments, and light housekeeping duties.

Previous experience working in a similar field is preferred but not mandatory.  Must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift more than 25 lbs.  Must have a current CPR and First Aid certification and be able to pass a Federal Background Check.

$16 per hour

Access Alaska – Medicare Open Enrollment

Access Alaska has certified Medicare counselors. They can help you select a prescription drug plan, answer questions, and help de-mystify Medicare.Open enrollment in October 15th – December 7th.
Access Alaska – Anchorage will be hosting two clinics during this time for Medicare Part D.Thursday November 6, 2014: 9 am -1 pm
