Youth Transition

Access Alaska Fairbanks’ Youth Transition Program provides opportunities for youth (14 – 21), who experience disabilities, to receive assistance and support in completing their secondary education, developing skills needed to live independently—and entering the world of work.

We also invite all school aged youth (14-21) to participate in our After School Program, during the school year, held in our youth center. Young people can participate in fun activities, games including Nintendo Wii, receive academic tutoring or job-search assistance, and learn about themselves in a supportive and laid back atmosphere. The Youth Transition Program is recruiting volunteer tutors and mentors for youth. Interested individuals can inquire at info@accessalaska.org for more information.
